The proclamation demobilizing the corps was
issued, dated 23 Sep 45 and Volunteers were sent on
demobilization leave of 96 days starting on 25 Oct.
The proclamation as issued was an amended
version of that sent out from UK and the amendments
made were referred to War Office but have not so
far been confirmed.
Signals have also been sent to War Office
asking for the various categories of volunteers to
be agreed but this has not yet been replied to,
meanwhile War Office have notified us that pay is
to be at British Rates and that the Nursing Detach-
ment is to receive the same rates as A.T.3. for
officers and VADS for members. We have asked
War Office to confirm that British Rates means
"British Home Rates" and to provide us with details
of them.
Adjutant H.K.7.D.C. has requested that a
standing committee be set up to consider the cases
of volunteers who claim either to have been P.V.
or to have renewed active resistance after
25 Dec 41 this has been referred to the offices of
the C in C.
H.K.V.D.3. have been asked for more facts
and figures about the number of volunteers who have
secured civilian employment etc.
